12-08-1787 – Mission La Purísima Concepción is founded at the Chumash Indian village of Algsacupi.

1787 –  Fr. Francisco Palóu publishes “Life and Apostolic Labors of the Venerable Father Junípero Serra”.

1790 – The neophyte population in the eleven (11) missions reaches a total of 7,698.
